How to Play Retro Goal

Your ultimate goal is to play strategically on both offense and defense and score goals against your opponent while protecting your own net. Aim to outscore your rivals with the time given to win matches and advance through increasingly tougher challenges.

Jump into the match

To start, select a national team and a strategy for your team. Each team has its unique stats and abilities in terms of kick, defense, and speed. So, pick one of your favorites and then select a formation for your tactical strategy. The options include 4-4-2, 4-2-4, 4-3-3, 3-4-3, 5-3-2, and 3-5-2. For example, 4-4-2 means that your team plays with two forwards, four defenders, and four midfielders. When you are ready, it’s time to kick off the competition.

Control players in multiple positions

You’ll automatically take on the role of a defender, midfielder, forward, or even goalkeeper. During attacking moments, you will dribble, pass, and shoot to score goals. On defense, you'll need to slide and tackle to stop opponents from advancing toward your net and scoring. Be flexible and do your best to outscore the rival team.

Timing and aim matter
