Catdoku is an adaptation of the traditional puzzle game using a colorful grid in which you have to place the troublemaking cat pieces. The puzzle board has color-coded blocks and a finite number of cat pieces. Unlike traditional games of chance, you will have to analyze the empty slots and find the right placement for all the pieces.

Place Every Cat Carefully

Though the task seems easy enough, there are multiple rules combined. Cats must not be placed in the same row or column, each color may include only one feline, and the spacing rule is also applied: cats must not be adjacent to one another, even diagonally.

This implies that one particular placement can influence many different parts of the board at once. Always think ahead before choosing any promising cell.

Turn Empty Cells Into Clues

X marks can become the most effective tool in Catdoku. It means marking the cells that can't be used for placing cats instead of leaving these options. There can be many different reasons to exclude a cell from consideration: a blocked row, a colored block filled by some cat, a neighbor, and so on.

Build the Solution Step by Step

As extraneous cells vanish from the puzzle, things become simpler. Find rows, columns, and zones with only one available option left and use them to find out where something should be placed.

Protect Your Fish

Errors have their price, so it is best not to just try randomly and see what happens. Before putting a cat somewhere, study your surroundings well and consider all the rules; one wrong move may result in losing a fish.

The puzzles themselves get harder with time, which makes the game even more interesting for experienced users as there are new layouts to think about. There are hints at your disposal in case you want some help.

Easy Controls, Tricky Puzzles

Catdoku remains easy to interact with. To put an X in a certain cell, click it, and to put a cat, use a double-click. Clean design and smooth animations make this game user-friendly despite complicated logic.
