Blockader is an arcade survival shooter roguelite game where players try to survive through progressively difficult waves of enemies. You will have to fight off all the enemies as they come closer to you since you are stuck in a ring while the enemies attack you from all directions. Win each battle, gain stars, select upgrades, and create a better warrior for future encounters.
Dodge Enemies and Automatic Fire
The battles in Blockader revolve around player movement rather than manually aiming the weapon. The weapons automatically target the closest threat to you, leaving you to focus on movement to survive. Players can move inside the ring using WASD keys or Arrow Keys while avoiding the enemy attacks. In addition, the player should be aware of the sniper who is waiting outside the arena to shoot the player with his ranged weapons.
Keep Moving to Stay Alive
Contact with enemies or sniper shots will reduce the number of lives the player has. Once the number of lives is exhausted, the player will lose the game.
Build Power Through Upgrades
Clearing waves and earning stars will give you the ability to use upgrade cards. There are more than 100 cards available in Blockader, and these are divided into four rare types. Make sure you think about which upgrade card will suit your build rather than picking randomly.
Unlock Gear and New Skills
Earning stars can also be used to get new gear that either helps offensively, defensively, or has other kinds of utility. The skill tree in the game adds another aspect of leveling up, as you can unlock new skills and branches depending on what you prefer.
Choose Your Warrior and Climb
There are six playable warriors in Blockader - Lucky, Byte, Spark, Orbit, Sludge, and Spike, each bringing their own playing style to the game. While only Lucky is unlocked at first, the rest bring more diversity for future runs. With eight different danger levels of melee enemies and Sniper constantly hunting you, and with top rankings to compete for, there will always be an opportunity to become better. Enter the arena and try to climb as high as you can.
