Basketball Tournament 3D involves accuracy of the shot rather than the distance of the shot or the level of complexity involved. Every level of the tournament presents the player with an opportunity to shoot freely, the key being to score as many points as possible in the given mode. A normal shot will see the player being awarded two points, while a clean shot that goes through without touching the rim will net the player three points.

Another significant incentive is the backboard bonus, earned through proper utilization of the backboard while scoring. There are six game modes in total.
